Laser Faith

Proverbs 24:10

  • If you fail under pressure, your strength is too small. (NLT)

  • If you fall to pieces in a crisis, there wasn’t much to you in the first place. (MSG)

  • If you show yourself weak on a day of distress, your strength is too small. (CEB)

Be Thankful

Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. ~1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NLT)

When you are thankful to God in every situation, good, bad, high, and low, you are surrendering your will to the Lord’s will. You are further confirming your faith in Him and trusting that His plan, though you may not understand, is perfect and is what you accept. When thankfulness and gratitude drive your reactions, it resets the atmosphere of your brain, mind, heart, and spirit to truly be open to whatever God is doing in your life through that circumstance, situation, or person.

Forgive

Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. ~Colossians 3:13 (NLT)

When you forgive others, it is to keep your heart pure and open to all that God is doing in your life. God knows our heart even with it’s “desperately wicked” ways and He alone can examine our secret motives (Jeremiah 17:9-10). When we allow gratitude and thankfulness to be our response to everything and we choose to release and reject anger and bitterness to allow true forgiveness to take place, our faith can grow leaps and bounds.

Work At It

Work brings profit, but mere talk leads to poverty! ~Proverbs 14:23 (NLT)

Just like anything, our faith has to be worked on in order to grow. Savings accounts do not grow unless you intentionally make deposits. Treat your faith the same way, in order to see growth make purposeful and calculated deposits. When a Job moment hits you, respond in faith like Job did and find the gratitude in that situation. When a betrayal moment occurs that delivers you to a season of loss, respond through forgiveness and trusting God’s plan like Jesus did and know that God’s ultimate plan will make this valley experience work together for your good. Talk about it, write down the plan, track your progress, and work at it to increase it, stabilize it, and help it become more laser like.

Laser Faith

When you can just look at something in faith and know it is done.

When you can speak the words through faith and see the victory is won.

When you can see beyond the present and usher in the blessings to come.

When you can navigate every high and low in life through 100% trust in the Holy One.
