It's On You

Its On You Beatifically Free Life Motivation Discipline

Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else. For we are each responsible for our own conduct. ~Galatians 6:4-5 (NLT)

Pay careful attention to your own work

When you are busy minding your own business and working according to your God-given plan, your rhythm with God becomes a target for distractions, derailments, and diversions. It’s on you to keep your focus, stick to your plan, make modifications as needed, but keep making progress so you can check off your goals and note your accomplishments. Discipline and consistency are especially important, and it is on you to make things happen. Sure, accountability partners are an amazing resource, but you are the one who has to do the work in order to see results. You are the one who has to contribute to the plan and then stick to it and see it through.

It’s on you when you “Don’t Feel Like It” (Thrive On Purpose) to 'regain focus' and be 'rerouted back to your goals' so you can get things done.

It’s on you when the text messages, emails, random videos and funny social media posts seem more important than doing what you need to do to advance yourself closer to where you want to be.

It’s on you to post your goals, have your check marks or “X” marks visible on a calendar as a reminder of your progress.

It’s on you to have the reminders and notifications alert you of what you are supposed to be reading, writing, researching, or learning to keep you on track.

It’s on you to decide if you will succeed in being focused or succumb in allowing the distractions and diversions to derail your plan, your purpose, or your passion.

And you won’t need to compare yourself

It is one thing to see what other people are doing to take some of their good habits and apply them to your process; however, it is another thing to see what other people are doing and as a result, you feel less than, inferior to, or unqualified. Each person has their own business to mind, their own plan to adhere to, and most importantly, their own rhythm with God to keep pace with. If you are doing those things, then comparing to other’s apparent successes, accomplishments, and breakthroughs won’t phase you except to know that now that God has blessed them, you are surely next in line!

There is no need to think you are not good enough, for if your dream wasn’t recurring, than perhaps you may need to let it go; however, since it keeps coming back repeatedly, you know you have to act on it. It doesn’t matter how many authors, trainers, coaches, planners, bakers, chefs, realtors, lawyers, investment officers, there are, none of them are you and none of them can reach your audience. It’s on you to realize that your audience “Needs You” and no one else can inspire them, encourage them, or help them transform like you.

There is no need to think you are unqualified for there are always opportunities to learn. Whether at an accredited college, a Masterclass, or an online program, enhance your God-given gifts and your innate talents by learning more about your craft and becoming the expert without having to proclaim you are the expert. Your gifts always make room for you, especially when you brush up on making them apparent and recognizable by others just by you operating and flowing in them to teach, mentor, coach, or serve others. It’s on you to believe you are qualified and then become a lifetime student to hone your craft, expand your knowledge, and position you to be the most qualified you can be.

For we are each responsible for our own conduct

It’s on you to “Push Through” your bad attitude and your emotional roller coaster in order to “Withdraw for Transfers” to reset your mind, body, and spirit. Accept responsibility for those bad days, we all have them, and no one is exempt from them. A day where you feel “off” or like you just can’t get into a rhythm of things. It's on you to acknowledge it, accept it, take a moment to “Pause” from it, and then proceed with the plan.

It's on you to learn from your mistakes. Mistakes are not without a purpose. They teach you lessons of what to do better and how to do it better and more efficiently. It’s like doing a puzzle of a maze and you are going around corners and bends only to come to a dead end. Well, now you know that is not the way to go, so you back track and go another way. Mistakes serve the same purpose. Yes, sometimes they cost money, sometimes they cost time, and other times, they just cost frustration, but whatever they cost, it is a valuable lesson, so recognize it, learn from it, and move on. It's on you not to get stuck in that mistake, but to use it as a launching pad into better.

It’s on you

It’s on you to take the step in faith and stop just talking about it.

It’s on you to focus on your plan, your purpose, and your passion and “Commit To It”.

It’s on you to fight though the tiredness, the fear, and the doubt.

It’s on you to believe and take action in collaboration with God as He works it out.

It’s on you to trust that there isn’t anything your obedience and God’s omnipotence cannot do.

It’s on you to walk in who God has called you to be and boldly flow in God’s irrefutable truth.

It's on you!
